Brad Takes Job at Freddie Mac

Brad takes a job with Freddie Mac, because his role at Travelport required him to be in Atlanta. As Director of Systems Engineering, he had to be near the datacenter that runs the infrastructure he was responsible for.

An opportunity came up with Freddie Mac, and the position was one of an individual contributor. In interviewing for the job, I made it known that we have been discussing moving away from Atlanta as our daughter nears school age. This was stated to not be a dealbreaker, and after an initial period of working from the Atlanta office, it would be up to my manager to determine if I could serve in my position remotely (this policy later changed along with a change in leadership).

Kim demonstrates knowledge of this arrangement in our private conversations, but when it suits her narrative, she states that she believed “I could always move with my job.” When she wanted to move to Alabama (in a hurry), she wanted to keep me in Atlanta (link: conversation on 2/17/20). When she comes up with the plan to move to MN (in a hurry), she attempts to justify her actions by stating that “I told her that I could move, and that I was the one who set things in motion to separate kids from parents.”

  1. Add link to audio from 2/17
  2. Add audio from 9/16 when she was stating that “I always could move”
