While we were discussing (and maintaining disagreements about) the details regarding our plans to move everyone to Minnesota as a part of the divorce process, Kim was telling many people (other than Brad) about plans she was making to try get a job in Birmingham, Alabama. Everyone who eventually told me about this, all included in their description the very same sentiment, which both struck a personal cord with them in a memorable way, but also was the motivation for them disclosing to me (remember these are HER confidants):

• “It was all about her, it struck me as spiteful, and if it had any regard for the kids at all, it was to distance the kids from Brad.”

She continued to discuss, and help coordinate moving the discussion forward, as it was solely-focused on Minnesota as the agreed upon destination.
